WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman Gwendolyn Lansky (Grass Lake, Mich.) scored the first goal of her career on Saturday afternoon, but it wasn't enough as the Post University women's hockey team was defeated by Holy Cross 8-1.

A slashing penalty by Holy Cross gave the Eagles a power-play opportunity with 7:52 remaining in the second period. With just three seconds to go with a man advantage Lansky put it home to put the Eagles on the board.

Sophomore Sierra Alarid (Cheyanne, Wyo.) had two of the Eagles seven shots on the day. Sophomore Kendall Fitzgerald (Kamloops, British Columbia) won 10 face-offs. Classmate Julia Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) blocked eight shots.
