Rindge, N.H. – Graduate student Jasmyne Fogle (Bridgeport, Conn.) led the Post University women's basketball team with nine points and 11 rebounds, but the Eagles lost 70-44 to Franklin Pierce in a non-conference game Monday evening.
The Eagles played the Ravens close early on in the first quarter, going up 4-0 on a free throw by freshman Meaghan Gotham (Revere, Mass.) and a three-pointer from junior Lauren Chambers (Lebanon, Pa.) before the teams tied at 8-8 after the first quarter.
Franklin Pierce would pull away in the second quarter, going on a 16-0 run to start the period before going into halftime leading 30-12.
The Eagles shooting percentage shot up in the second half, led by freshman Katelyn Andres (North Bergen, N.J.) who went 3-for-4 in the half for all of her eight points.
Chambers finished the game with eight points. Gotham had five points and five rebounds.
Jemma Thacker led the Ravens in scoring with 20 points. Mya Mosely scored 16.
The Eagles return home for their next game as they take on American International College at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 2.
