MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Post University men's ice hockey team was defeated by Saint Anselm 4-0 on Friday night in Manchester, N.H. Freshman goaltender
Brandon Brown (Hanahan, S.C.) made 54 saves in goal for the Eagles.
A miscue by Post late in the first period led to a goal by the Hawks. Saint Anselm added two goals in the second and a later power play score in the third.
"I thought except for the turnover, the first was a good period for us. We faded in the second and Saint Anselm's experience showed down the stretch," said head coach
Pete Whitney.
The Eagles had 20 shots on the night, led by sophomore
Lucas Smith (Calgary, Alberta) with seven. Senior
Christopher Harris (Barnstable, Mass.) won eight face offs. Freshman
Patrick Cunningham (Branford, Conn.) and junior
Brian Hurley (Long Branch, N.Y.) each had three blocked shots.
Post and Saint Anselm will be back in action tomorrow at 4 p.m.
