MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team fell to Roberts Wesleyan 6-3 in a fall season matchup on Saturday afternoon at Edgewood Bath & Tennis in Middlebury. The Eagles are 0-2 in the fall season.
Post led 2-1 after doubles. Seniors
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) and
Ludvig Henrikson (Taby, Sweden) defeated Hugo Ball-Greene and Timothy Nazza 8-6 at No. 1. Junior
Peter Rossel (Vienna, Austria) and
Jonathan Compres (Rockland County, N.Y.) grabbed an 8-5 win over Dustin Eshleman and Dennis Barlotta at No. 2.
Compress was the only Eagle to win his singles match as he defeated Nazza 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Junior
Ivan Rajevac (Dubrovnik, Croatia) fell at No. 3 in three sets 1-6, 6-4, 3-6. Henrikson won the first set before dropping his match at No. 4, 6-3, 6-7 (2-6), 5-10.
Post rounds out the fall portion of its schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at home against Assumption. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
