Waterbury, Conn. – Freshman Taylor Ceballos (Milford, Conn.) had her first double-double of her Post career scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, but the women's basketball team dropped a 73-63 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game to Georgian Court Saturday afternoon at the Drubner Center.
 
The Eagles ended the first quarter with an 18-17 lead as Ceballos racked up eight points, including going 4-for-4 from the free throw line and scoring six of the first 12 points of the game for Post.
 
Georgian Court would overtake the lead in the second quarter, leading 36-27 at the break. Ceballos scored four more points for 12 points in the half.
 
The Eagles kept pace with Georgian Court in the third, outscoring the Lions 16-15. However, the Lions were able to pull away in the final quarter for their first CACC win of the season.
 
Senior Tyra Jones (Rochester, N.Y.) finished the game with 15 points and five rebounds.
 
Jada Atchison led all scorers with 19 points for the Lions. Alliyah Berger had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
 
Up next for the Eagles is a CACC road game at Philadelphia on January 10 at 6 p.m.
