Deaisia Acklin (Bronx, N.Y.) scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, but the Post University women's basketball team dropped a tough 66-61 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game to Dominican on Saturday.

Tyra Jones (Rochester, N.Y.) also finished with a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
After falling behind 12-4 early in the first quarter, the Eagles stormed back with a 16-4 run over the final 4:52 to close out the quarter. Two three-pointers from junior
Sierra Green (Austin, TX.) hit two three-pointers during the stretch. Acklin scored four points during the run.
A competitive second quarter saw the Chargers (5-14, 5-5 CACC) take a 29-24 lead thanks to back-to-back three-pointers by Shannon McGill. However, Acklin would again take charge offensively, scoring seven of the Eagles (1-18, 1-10 CACC) final 14 points in the half – including a buzzer beating layup - to give the Eagles a 37-31 lead at the half. Acklin shot 6-for-7 from the field in the half. As a team, the Eagles were 17-for-32 (53.1%) in the half.
A 9-2 run to begin the third quarter for the Eagles gave them a 48-33 lead with 3:50 remaining in the third quarter, their biggest lead of the game. Acklin scored six points in the stretch. The Eagles would lead 53-43 heading into the fourth.
The Chargers fought back in the fourth quarter, taking their first lead since the second quarter at 62-61 with 3:45 remaining. They would hold the Eagles scoreless the rest of the game.
Junior
Abriana Diana (Hartford, Conn.) finished with six points and nine rebounds. Green finished with six points. The Eagles outrebounded the Chargers, 47-31, including 20 offensive rebounds.
Stefani Alston led all Dominican scorers with 19 points. McGill had 11 points.
