Post University Women’s Ice Hockey Announces Schedule For Inaugural 2016-17 Season

Eagles’ 24-game slate features nine games at home






WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's ice hockey team is excited to announce its schedule for the team's first year of competition in 2016-17. The Eagles, under head coach Heath Isaacson, will play 24-games including nine at home at the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton.
 
The Eagles kick off their first season on Friday, Oct. 28 at home against Becker College. Post is back in action in Shelton the next night against Johnson and Wales. The Eagles visit Lebanon Valley College for two games on Nov. 12-13 before returning home for a four-game homestand.
 
Post welcomes Franklin Pierce to the Sports Center for matches on Nov. 18-19. After a two-week break, the Eagles return to action at home against Daniel Webster (Dec. 2) and Southern Maine (Dec. 3). Post visits SUNY Cortland (Dec. 9) and Plymouth State (Dec. 10) to close out the 2016 portion of the schedule.
 
The Eagles open the new year at the 10th Annual Codfish Bowl hosted by UMass-Boston. Post will play the Beacons in the first round on Jan. 2 at 1 p.m. UMass-Boston won the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season. Stevenson and Bowdoin will also play in the Codfish Bowl and Post will play one of the two on Jan. 3.
 
Post spends the entire month of January on the road with games against Neumann (Jan. 6-7), Daniel Webster (Jan. 10), Becker (Jan. 13), Johnson and Wales (Jan. 14), Franklin Pierce (Jan. 17) and Northland College (Jan. 27-28).
 
The home schedule finishes with two games against Lebanon Valley (Feb. 11-12) and culminates with Senior Night on Feb. 17 against Sacred Heart. The Eagles visit the Pioneers on Feb. 18 to close the season.
