WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Post University men's ice hockey team closed out its inaugural season on Thursday night with a 5-4 victory over Trinity at Veterans Memorial Rink in West Hartford. Senior Brian Beatson (Falls Church, Va.) and sophomore Ludvig Henrikson (Taby, Sweden) each scored twice for the Eagles.
 
After falling behind 1-0 late in the first period, Post answered with two quick goals, both by Beatson to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission. The Eagles extended their advantage to 5-1 in the second period. Henrikson scored twice in the period and freshman Dom Senerchia (Walpole, Mass.) added a goal.
 
The Bantams made it interesting in the third period with three goals to close the deficit to 5-4, but clutch goaltending by freshman Joseph Grout (Plainfield, N.H.) kept the Eagles in front.
 
Sophomore Dave Canfarotta (Stratford, Conn.) assisted on two goals.
