Box Score HOOKSETT, N.H. – The Post University men's ice hockey team was defeated by Southern New Hampshire 8-1 on the road on Wednesday night. Freshman
Kyle Weiss (Andover, N.J.) scored his first-career goal in the loss.
Despite being outshot 21-6 in the first, the Eagles found themselves down just 1-0 after the period. The Penmen added two more goals early in the second period. Weiss beat the goaltender for the lone Post
goal with 13:58 left in the second. Southern New Hampshire led 4-1 through two periods and scored its final four goals in the third.
The Eagles penalty kill unit was able to keep the Penmen off the scoreboard as they kill off all five power play opportunities.
Post had 20 shots on the night led by freshman
Tyler Hackett (Branford, Conn.) with five. Junior
Christopher Harris (Barnstable, Mass.) won a team-high 10 faceoffs.
The Eagles return home on Saturday night against William Paterson. Puck drops at the SportsCenter of Connecticut at 7 p.m.
