Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University women's basketball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game to South Division leader, Philadelphia on Friday afternoon, 87-42 at the Drubner Center.
Three players, juniors Jovan Kingwood (Norwich, Conn.) and Tyra Jones (Rochester, N.Y.) and sophomore Lexus Childs-Harris led the Eagles (0-18, 0-9, CACC) with seven points apiece.Â
The Rams (15-5, 11-0 CACC) jumped out to a 19-4 lead after the first quarter and extended their lead to 47-16 at halftime before putting the game away in the second half.
Bria Young led the Rams with 17 points. Tori Arnao had a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for the Rams.
The Eagles got the edge in fastbreak points, 8-6 and spread the ball around as 10 players scored for them during the game.
Up next for the Eagles is a road CACC contest against Caldwell on January 26 at 6 p.m.
