Polaski Ties Single-Game Record With Eight Goals In Loss To Chestnut Hill

Eagles Fall To Griffins 21-11


 
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Senior Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) had a career day in her final road contest, scoring eight goals at the Post University women's lacrosse team was defeated by Chestnut Hill 21-11 on Saturday afternoon. The eight tallies tied Post's single-game record set in 2013 by Meghan Diggett.
 
Polaski scored twice in the first half. After the Eagles fell behind 4-0, she controlled the ensuing draw and took it the distance for a goal. She added her second of the half on a free-position with 10:06 left until the break. Freshman Sam Rodriguez (Wayne, N.J.) tallied a goal on a free-position four minutes later. She would add another in the final minute to make the score 9-4 at the half.
 
Polaski scored the first two Eagles' goals of the second half. Senior Eryka Baez (Clifton, N.J.) got on the board with 22:38 left and would later assist on a score by Polaski. Rodriguez also added an assist in the second half.
 
Graduate goalkeeper Kathy Walker (Dorchester, Mass.) made a season-high 17 saves. Polaski added three ground balls, three caused turnovers, and 10 draw controls. Rodriguez also picked up two ground balls.
 
Post is back in action on Monday, April 20 at home against Bridgeport. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
