WATERBURY, Conn. – The #2 Post University men's soccer team defeated #7 Concordia 3-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament on Monday afternoon. The Eagles have advanced to the semifinals in six of the last seven seasons.
Concordia outshot Post early but the momentum changed after graduate student
Anthony Asante (Bronx, N.Y.) put the Eagles on the board in the 12
th minute with launched a rocket from a tough angle on the right side of the goal. Senior
Jacob Butler-Bowdon (Adelaide, Australia) setup the goal with a long throw-in.
Post controlled the remainder of the first half as they outshot the Clippers 6-3 the rest of the way and held a 3-0 advantage on goal.
The Clippers continued to pressure the Eagles to start the second half and had many chances to tie but were unable to convert. Senior
