Coach
Matt Micros was thrilled with the win.
"It was a great weekend," Micros said. "The girls played incredible.
Sam Rodriguez earned MVP and several players played injured. They were warriors. Couldn't be prouder of the girls and happier for the entire team, especially the seniors. Brittany and
Lexxi Carroll (Plainville, Conn.),
Misty Kaiwi (Waipahu, Hawaii), and
Valerie Moore (Bloomfield, Conn.) And we wouldnt have been there without
Laura Morgan (Brush Prairie, Wash.) and
Brianne Scott, who were both injured."
"It was a terrific team to coach. They worked extremely hard all year, and always managed to rebound from any disappointments. We set a goal this year to challenge for the conference title, but even more importtantly to compete outside the conference. It was a great season for the program to build on. Couldn't be prouder of the girls."
Mercy outshot the Eagles, 14-6.
Post finished the season 11-6-2.
