SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University men's ice hockey team was defeated by Central Connecticut State 8-1 at The Rinks at Shelton on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are now 1-2 in their inaugural season of play.
 
Sophomore Dave Canfarotta (Stratford, Conn.) scored for Post in the third period off a pass from junior Trevor Buchas (Bristol, Conn.). The goal was the second on the season for Canfarotta, while Buchas tallied his second assist of the year.
 
The Eagles were outshot 37-32 on the day. Senior Brian Beatson (Falls Church, Va.) had eight shots to lead the team. Freshman Peter Petrino (Derby, Conn.) added six shots.
 
Post will visit Sienna College on Saturday, Nov. 21. Game time is set for 8:30 p.m.
