The win snapped a nine game losing streak for the Eagles who are now 4-12 on the season and 4-3 in the CACC.

Three-Point Barrage Lifts Eagles

Deren And Viselli Light It Up From Deep

Freshmen Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) and Nicole Viselli (Groveland, Mass.) hit a combined eight three pointers as the Eagles defeated Concordia for the second time this season, 74-58 at the Drubner Center in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matchup. The win snapped a nine game losing streak for the Eagles who are now 4-12 on the season and 4-3 in the CACC.

Post jumped out to a 22-6 lead in the first 8:39 of the game and was never threatened in the first half. During that stretch, Deren scored seven points, including a three-pointer and junior Deaisia Acklin (Bronx, N.Y.) scored six points during the stretch. The Eagles would increase their lead to as much as 25 points (44-19) before going into the break with a 44-23 lead.

Deren scored 10 of her career-high 18 points in the first half and Acklin scored six of her eight points in the opening half.

The second half was no different for the Eagles, as they increased their lead to as much as 27 points during the half and the Clippers never threatened as the Eagles defense kept Concordia to a 36.1 shooting percentage in the second half and 35.1 shooting percentage for the game.

Viselli finished with a career-high 16 points and went 4-for-11 from three-point range. Sophomore Dericka Sims (Chesapeake, Va.) came off the bench to score a season-high 10 points

As a team, the Eagles were relentless on defense as they finished with 13 steals and scored 33 points off of turnovers.

Julianne Wilkinson led the Clippers with 19 points. Mariah Berry had 12.

Up next for the Eagles is a CACC road game at Nyack on Jan. 17 at 1 p.m.
