WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's basketball returns home on Tuesday to host Concordia in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) clash at the Drubner Center at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are tied atop the North Division with conference records of 5-2. The Eagles defeated the Clippers 81-65 in November and has won three straight in the series.

Tyler Desrosiers (Agawam, Mass.) hit from distance to give the Eagles their first lead of the night at 18-16 with 5:12 left. Caldwell pulled back in front and led 24-23 at the half.

The teams traded baskets early in the second half until a three-point play by freshman
Matt Mareno (San Francisco, Calif.) gave the Post the lead for good with 13:47 remaining in the game. Mareno scored 15 of his game-high 19 points in the second half. Seymour hit a three of a dish from senior
Nardie Bogues (Baltimore, Md.) to spark the run for Post that put the game away. The Eagles led by as many as 15 points before it was all over.

Scouting the ClippersAfter starting the season 1-6, Concordia has won seven of its last eight games including five in a row in CACC play. Peter Aguilar leads the team at 15.6 points per game and is coming off a season-high 26 points last time out. Tshyrad Oates is fifth in the CACC with 8.4 rebounds per game. The Clippers lead the conference with 8.2 steals per game and are fifth in three-point percentage at 32.3 percent.

All-Time Record vs. ConcordiaThe Eagles are 9-4 against the Clippers all-time and has won five of the last six games. Post last lost against Concordia at home in 2011. The Eagles outscored the Clippers 42-20 in the second half to earn an 81-65 win in their first meeting this year.
