WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday night on the road at Nyack. Tip-off at Bowman Gymnasium is set for 8 p.m. The Eagles have been hot lately with victories in five of their last six games. Nyack defeated Post 106-101 in double-overtime earlier this season.

Post won its fifth game of its last six outings on Saturday afternoon against Goldey-Beacom. Senior
Josh Tatum (Greenville, N.C.) recorded the Eagles' first double-double of the season at 20 points and 11 rebounds. Senior
Stephen Perry Jr. (Westhampton, N.J.) was 5-for-6 from distance for a game-high 22 points to go with three steals and an assist.
Perry Jr. hit two early three-pointers and as part of a 10-0 Eagles' run to begin the game which forced a timeout by Goldey-Beacom. Out of the break, the Lightning scored quickly before Post dropped 14 straight points, seven by Tatum, to build a 24-2 lead with 13:22 remaining in the first. Goldey-Beacom answered with a 10-0 run to get back in the game, but never pulled within single digits the rest of the day.
The Eagles forced 20 turnovers for the sixth time this season which led to 29 points. Post shot 10-for-19 from behind the arc and was 62.5 percent from deep in the first half.
Scouting the Warriors
Nyack (8-12, 6-7 CACC) has split its last four games and enters Wednesday night right behind the Eagles in fifth place in the CACC North Division. Chris Hampton leads the team and is sixth in the conference at 16.9 points per game. He is 14
th in the nation at 3.5 three-pointers made per game. Nick Moore leads the Warriors at 8.0 boards a game which is good for third in the CACC. Nyack averages 72.0 points per game and allows 74.8 per contest.
All-Time Series Against Nyack
The Eagles are 13-8 all-time against the Warriors and have won six of the last seven meetings between the two. Earlier this season, Post fell 106-101 at home in double-overtime. The Eagles last two losses to Nyack have come in overtime.

Juggling The Lineup
Post has used eight different starting lineups this season and a total of 12 players have made at least one start.
Derrick Strong has started 18 of the Eagles' 19 games, only coming off the bench in the opener against Southern New Hampshire.
Travis Carbajal,
Josh Tatum, and
Devin Willis are the only other players to start more than nine times.
Eagles Among The Leaders
Post boast two of the top three three-point shooters in the conference as
Effrin Ellison (45.5%) and
Derrick Strong (45.3%) are second and third, respectively. Strong is also second in the CACC at 2.5 steals per game, which is good for 15
th in the nation. Post leads the league with a 37.3 shooting percentage from distance and is second at 7.7 steals per game. The Eagles are 42nd in the country with 8.5 threes made per contest.
Hitting The Glass
After struggling on the glass early in the season, the Eagles have picked up the pace as of late. Before its last game, Post had outrebounded its opponent in three straight outings. The Eagles grabbed a season-high 48 boards, 13 more than their opponent, in a 79-50 victory over Concordia. Post also outrebounded Felician and Holy Family. The Eagles are 3-1 in games in which they grab more boards than their opponents this season.
Coming Up Short
Out of Post's losses this season, six have come by just a combined 20 points. In two of the games, the Eagles had a last-second chance for victory. Against Bridgeport, Post had possession with 0:04 left in an 87-85 defeat. Last time out against LIU-Post, the Eagles had two chances in the final three seconds before falling 67-66. Post hit two late shots against Nyack to send the game into two overtimes, but came up short 106-101.
Honored For Defensive Prowess
Derrick Strong was named CACC Defensive Player of the week on Dec. 9 and Jan. 20. Strong tied a career-high with six steals in Post's 79-50 victory over Concordia on Jan. 14. The senior also had six steals in Post's victory over Wilmington on Dec. 7. He is the second Eagle to receive the honor this season after
AJ Harris on Nov. 11. In his Eagles debut against Southern New Hampshire on Nov. 9, Harris recorded seven steals, which was the highest single-game total since the 2006-07 season.
The Road Ahead
Post is back at home on Saturday, Feb. 8 against Philadelphia. The Rams currently sit atop the CACC South Division. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
