Chlids-Harris Scores 16 In Loss To AIC

Acklin Gets Into Double Figures Again

Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University women's basketball team dropped its fourth straight game, a 68-46 loss to American International College in a non-conference game. 

The Eagles now sit at 3-7 overall, and are 3-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

Freshman Lexus Childs-Harris (New London, Conn.) led the way for Post with 16 points and junior Deaisia Acklin (Bronx, N.Y.) scored 12.

Post fell behind 14-2 in the first five minutes of the game, and were down 38-16 at the break. 

The Eagles fared better in the second half, as the teams tied in the second half, 30-30, but the first half deficit was too much to overcome. Childs-Harris scored 10 of her points in the second half and freshman Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) scored all eight of her points in the second half.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Krista Ferrentino, who had 20 points and 12 rebounds. Kamika Mason came off the bench to score 12 points and pull down nine rebounds.

Up next for the Eagles is a game against College of Saint Rose on Sunday in Springfield, Mass. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
