Eagles Lose To Saint Rose

Freshman Lexus Childs-Harris (New London, Conn.) led the Post University women's basketball team with 11 points, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles dropped its fifth consecutive game, an 83-36 loss to College of Saint Rose.

The Eagles drop to 3-8 on the season,  but are still 3-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

The Eagles led 4-2 early on in the game before the Golden Knights went on a 32-9 run, opening up a 36-13 lead with 4:35 left in the first half. Saint Rose would go into the half up 45-17.

The second half was more of the same, with the Golden Knights outscoring the Eagles, 38-19.

Junior Deaisia Acklin (Bronx, N.Y.) finished with eight points for the Eagles. Freshman Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) contributed six points.

Jamie Hutcheson finished with 14 points for the Golden Knights. Mariah Lesure scored 16 off of the bench.

Up next for the Eagles is an out-of-conference game at Lock Haven. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
