The Eagles extended their lead to as many as nine in the opening period after two free throws by junior Shannon McCready (Melbourne, Australia). Roberts Wesleyan closed the half off on a 14-4 run to pull in front 32-31 at the break.

Flagg scored eight of his team-high 12 points as Post began the second half on an 11-4 run to pull in front 42-36 with 14:12 left in the game. The Redhawks took over from there with and 8-0 run to take the lead capped by a jumper by Isaac Medieros as they took a 44-42 advantage.
