Sophomore
Skylar German (Kansas City, Mo.) led all scorers in the match with 11 kills, adding a service ace and a block. In two sets, junior
Mariah Morris (Vilsek, Germany) contributed to the scoreboard with six kills and senior
Julia Slyaktina (Moscow, Russia) added five kills in an efficient eight attempts (.625 pct.). Slyaktina also steered the Eagle attack tallying 30 assists in a quick three sets. Senior

Janiellee Alvarez (Norwich, Conn.) finished with 10.
Â
Post showed up to play from the first serve of the match and scored an uninterrupted five points. Pace answered back with a five point run of their own. Another four point swing gave Post the advantage leading into the later stages of the set. Pace only managed to sprinkle in kills in the midst of a resilient Eagle attack. Wilman landed the final kill that gave Post a 25-15 set victory.
Â
The action was back-and-forth to start the second set as the Setters maintained the slight edge 9-8 after both teams traded three point runs. Pace was able to hang on to their one point advantage until the Eagles broke out a 10-2 run, featuring four service aces, to eventually win the second set 25-18.
Â
The Eagles were all business in the third set and Pace led the set for only one point in the early stages. Post managed to string together a 9-2 run and never looked back. Pace never allowed Post to pull away with a monster run, but it felt like the Eagles could have opened the flood gates, had it not been for some miscues and attack errors on their end. Morris landed the final kill to complete the sweep and win the final set 25-15.
Â
The Eagles improve to 12-7 overall and remain 7-2 in conference, riding a six game winning streak since the start of October. Pace falls to 3-14 on the season and stands 0-5 in the Northeast Conference (NE-10).
Â
The Eagles continue conference play on Friday, Oct. 17 when they travel to Nyack, N.Y. to face off against the Warriors of Nyack College in their second meeting of the season. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
