PHILADELPHIA, PA. - The Post University men's basketball team will begin its quest for the 2012 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament crown on Saturday night. The Eagles, which are seeded third in the North Division, will travel to Philadelphia University, the second seeded team in the South, for a quarterfinal matchup. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the Gallagher Center.
Post enters the CACC Tournament as winners of two in a row and five out of the last six outings. The Eagles have won their last five games decided in regulation. During the six-game stretch which dates back to Feb. 7, Post has notched a 2-1 record against teams that qualified for the CACC Tournament.
Statistically, the Eagles are led by senior guard
Josh Lopez, who averages 11.9 points per game, while sophomore guard
Zach Krischer adds 11.7 points per night. Over the last nine games, Krischer, who leads the CACC in three-point field goal percentage (49.2), has notched 14.2 points per game, and has hit 28 three-pointers, including a career-high seven against Wilmington on Feb. 18. During the stretch, Krischer has led the team in scoring four times, including a career-high 26 points at Wilmington. Lopez led Post in nine games this season.

Jake Wilcox has totaled 143 assists, including a 13:0 assist-to-turnover ratio at Holy Family on Jan. 21. Wilcox is one of three players in Division II who has tallied 13 assists and no turnovers in a single game this season. The others are Josh Magette of Alabama-Huntsville and Cameron Joyce of Northwood (Mich.). Wilcox is ranked fourth in the CACC and 27
th nationally in assists per game with an average of 5.4 per night.

th in the East Region, Philadelphia enters postseason play with an overall record of 18-8 and 13-4 against conference foes. The Rams are coming off back-to-back wins over Felician and Holy Family. They went on a nine-game winning streak from Dec. 10 – Jan. 21.
Jim Connelly leads the team and stands fourth in the CACC with 17.6 points per game. He shoots 41.7 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from distance. Connelly was named the CACC Player of the Week on Jan. 2, while Nick Schlitzer was a two-time conference Rookie of the Week this year.
Temi Adebayo leads the CACC in field goal percentage (59.8 percent) and ranks second on Philadelphia in scoring with 15.0 points per game.
