Jerry Cummings (Queens, N.Y.) scored the opening basket of the overtime period to give Post a 59-57 lead, Chestnut Hill (4-5, 1-2 CACC) ripped off a 9-0 run over a span of 3:43 to claim an eight-point advantage with 33 seconds to play. The Griffins led 67-59. The Eagles could not cut the deficit to fewer than four points the rest of the way.
With Post (8-2, 4-1 CACC) trailing 10-8 and 4:45 elapsed in the first half, the Eagles used a 9-0 run over a span of 4:51 to claim a 17-10 margin with 10:54 remaining in the stanza. Krischer opened the spurt with a jumper, and it was highlighted by a pair of triples by junior

Chestnut Hill took a five-point lead, its largest of the half, after a Seamus Radtke jumper with 32 seconds to play before intermission. Radtke's field goal made the score 32-27 in favor of the Griffins, but Krischer hit a triple off a Wilcox pass with six seconds to play before halftime to make the Eagles' deficit 32-30 at the break.
In the second half, neither team led by more than three points and the stanza featured seven ties. Post earned its three-point advantages on a Cummings three-pointer at the 18:39 mark, a Krischer triple with 13:45 to play, and a Cummings jumper with 12:13 to go.
For the game, Post was held to just 34.3 percent shooting from the field and only 35.5 (11-for-31) from distance. Individually, Cummings and Perry chipped in 15 and 12 points, respectively.
The Eagles will attempt to return to their winning ways on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. Post will host Northeast-10 Conference foe Saint Anselm in a non-conference contest at the Drubner Center.
