Hot Shooting Leads Le Moyne Over Eagles, 77-55

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (December 17, 2011) Post University men's basketball fell at Le Moyne on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles forced the Dolphins to turn the ball over 20 times in the game, but Le Moyne's 60.0% shooting on the day led them to victory.

Le Moyne came out quick and hit a three-pointer eight seconds in. Zach Krischer nailed one from long distance seconds later to tie the score. The Eagles kept right with the Dolphins for the first 10 minutes. Le Moyne would make a shot and Post would score right back, but the Eagles found themselves down 24-16 with 9:35 remaining in the first.

Post hit a tough stretch as Le Moyne pushed the score to 44-24 as the half ended. Krischer had five points and two boards in the first.

The second half was much of the same, the Eagles would cut the deficit, but the Dolphins kept pushing it back to 20. Jake Wilcox hit a jumper at 15:57 to cap off a 5-0 run that brought the score to 48-31.

Two quick three pointers by Le Moyne's Chris Johnson pushed the lead to 59-36, their largest of the day. James Lee made some buckets as the Eagles pulled within 14 with 5:20 remaining, but they wouldn't get any closer as the Dolphins pulled out the 77-55 victory.

Wilcox was the only Eagle in double-digits, finishing with 11 points on the day to go with his two steal. Post's leading scorer, Josh Lopez, had a tough day scoring all six of his points in the first half. Reggie Holding Jr. had five rebound and two blocks.

Johnson led all scorers with 22, going 6-for-9 from behind the arc.

Post will be back at Drubner on Monday night to face in-state rival Bridgeport at 7 p.m.
