WATERBURY, Conn (November 30, 2010) The CACC season opens Wednesday as Post University travels to Orangeburg, N.Y., to take on Dominican College in a men's and women's basketball doubleheader.

The action begins at 6 pm with the women's game, as guard Casey Brooks and the Eagles (1-4) look to start off conference play with a victory over Marley Klunk and the Chargers (2-3).

Brooks leads the Eagles in scoring at 11.6 points per game. Senior center Diyasha Brewington has also had a terrific start for Post University, leading the team with 7.4 rebounds per game. Brewington is coming off a dominant 14 point, 17 rebound performance against Washington Adventist the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Dominican is led by Klunk, who is averaging a team-high 11.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Junior guard Kaity Lent can also light it up, as she is averaging 8.4 points per game, and has hit on 7 of 10 three-point attempts this season.

In the men's game, Post University guard Cecil Stinson* will look to continue riding his current hot streak. The senior was named CACC men's player of the week after averaging 14.5 points per game in two wins over Le Moyne College and C.W. Post.

Stinson is flanked by several capable scorers, including senior guard Spencer Smith, who is second on
Cecil Stinson
the team with 11.8 points per game. Four Eagles are averaging at least 9.8 points per contest.
Post University has won two straight games, and enters conference play at 2-3 after losing its first three games by a total of 17 points.

Dominican College (0-4) owns one of the most talented backcourts in the conference, in guards Leon Porter and Khaleev Ginyard. Porter leads the Chargers with 16.5 points and 5.4 assists per game, while Ginyard is averaging 14.2 points per game. The two mighty-mite guards, both of whom are under 5-8, figure to be a force in the CACC for a while. Porter is a sophomore and Ginyard is just a freshman.

The men's game tips at 8 pm.
