Michael Vesci joined Post University as the Director of Athletic Communications in July 2023.

In the 2024-25 athletic year, Vesci and his team revamped Media Days for all the athletic programs with the addition of photo/video production, hype videos, and season previews with players and coaches. Additionally, the team began wireless, multi-camera streaming production as well as worked alongside Post University and other nearby institutions to start the creation of hands-on internship experiences for students looking to break into either the sports industry or Athletic Communications field. The team also landed the first two ESPN Top 10 Play appearances for Post Athletics in school history after submitting a Triple Play from Brooke Dickenson (Softball), which came in at nine, and Leighton Cooke's (Men's Lacrosse) no-look goal at six within two weeks of each other in April 2025.

As part of the College Sports Communicators organization, Vesci was one of 12 CSC members named to the 2024-25 Inclusion Fellowship class, a year-long cohort that studies issues around championing an inclusive culture in athletics communications and within college athletics. In November 2024, Vesci was honored as part of the 2024 CSC 30 Under 30 Class which honors up-and-coming strategic, creative and digital athletics communications professionals throughout the CSC membership. He became the third Athletic Communicator in Connecticut to receive the honor while becoming the first Director of Athletic Communications and the first individual from a Division II school in the state to be named to the award since it began in 2022. In February 2025, Vesci was announced as one of the 22 Attendance Grant Winners for the 2025 CSC Unite Convention in Orlando, Florida in June of that same year.

In year one with the athletic department, Vesci brought play-by-play commentary and multi-camera broadcasts to all Post Athletic teams that were streamed in addition to multi-broadcasting games on each team's respective conference streaming platform and YouTube. On YouTube, the increase in content which included streaming, postgame interviews, coach interviews, etc. resulted in a more than 100% increase in subscribers. Just over a year following his arrival on November 11th, 2024 the YouTube channel reached 1,000 subscribers becoming the first in the CACC to reach that mark. Across the board, Vesci and his team's projects produced an over 100% increase in YouTube and Instagram engagement/interaction as well as an over 1,000% increase in impressions on both platforms throughout the course of the 2023-24 athletic year.

Vesci also led the revamp of the Post University Athletics website through SideArm which launched in February 2024 and was the primary media contact for the first-ever NCAA Tournament home game in school history (Men's Soccer vs. West Chester - Round of 32) as well as the Baseball and Men's Golf CACC Championships that Post hosted in the span of the 2023-24 athletic seasons. He currently serves as a regional voter for the D2CSC Men's (2024-Pres.) and Women's Basketball (2023-Pres.) East Region Poll as well as the NCBWA Baseball East Region Poll (2024-Pres.) and is the East Region Coordinator for the D2CCA Men's Basketball Regional Awards (2024-Pres.).

His work during the first year at Post earned him and his team the Carmody Award at the annual Swoopy Awards in April 2024. In June 2024, Vesci was honored by the College Sports Communicators organization in their Creative and Digital Design Contest, placing 12th in the Best of Division II for the CSC Non-Game Day Graphics category, becoming the first Director of Athletic Communications in the history of Post to receive a Creative and Digital Design Award from CSC.

Vesci returned home to Connecticut after spending a year as the Sports Information Assistant at UMass Boston. During his year as a Beacon, the Manchester, Connecticut native bolstered the Beacon Broadcast Network, executing over 100 webcasts for 10 different Division III sports offered at the university, hiring four new broadcasting talents to perform play-by-play duties, revamping the BBN logo and game graphics packages, and helping execute the first-ever three camera softball stream in program history.

Additionally, Vesci also ran the UMass Boston Athletics social media accounts, dramatically increasing UMass Boston's social media traffic from the previous year with new graphic and creative video content and was part of a two-month mid-year athletic website revamp which helped chronicle the entire record book, coaching history, roster history, and schedules of all 16 active varsity sports dating back to their beginnings in 1982.

While the primary contact for six sports, Vesci played an active role with all 16 varsity sports when it came to their social media presence, weekly award nominations, postgame recaps, highlight video creation, traveling with NCAA Tournament bound teams (Men's Soccer and Women's Tennis), as well as the UMass Boston Baseball team in spring 2023.

Before his stint at UMass Boston, Vesci spent three years with Bob Molta, a 40-plus year Sports Information veteran at Eastern Connecticut, both as a University Assistant (one year) and Student Worker (two years).

During his one year as a University Assistant, Vesci oversaw the ETV Sports Internship Program, trained student workers to execute sports information-related duties at home athletic events, wrote press releases, created new website graphics, and served as the primary contact for the 2022 Division III National Champion Eastern Baseball team during their spring trip to Fort Myers, Florida.

A 2022 graduate from Southern Connecticut State University with his masters in Sports Management and 2020 graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University with his bachelors in Sports Management as well as a double minor in Business Administration and Communications, Vesci also spent six seasons as an official scorer for the New Britain Bees from 2017-2022 and the better part of three years in the Colorado Rockies Double-A Affiliate Hartford Yard Goats organization in a variety of roles. Since 2024, he has served as the official scorer for the Norwich Sea Unicorns of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.

When not running around the athletic facilities, Vesci is running around the streets as he is an avid runner aspiring to complete the six World Major Marathons. In November 2022, he completed the first of six, crossing the finish line in the New York City Marathon in 3:48:22.
