Laura Morton joined Post University Women's Lacrosse as an Assistant Coach in January 2026.
Morton comes from nearby Southern Connecticut State University, where she was a 2025 graduate of the school with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. She spent a semester working with 18-21-year-old special needs students participating in sport and recreation activities on campus.
Morton played four seasons in net for the Owls from 2018-21, where she earned NE10 All-Rookie Team honors as a freshman and led the NE10 in saves during the 2020 season. Morton finished her career with 475 career saves and 10 wins in goal for Southern Connecticut before becoming a Team Manager during the 2021-22 school year.
Over the years, Morton has served in a variety of roles in sport, serving on the Yale Athletics Event Management staff since 2018 at home events in numerous capacities, while also spending a year at Lacrosse Unlimited in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, as a sales clerk from 2022-23. Around that time, Morton also spent time as a Director and Coach of Skyhawks Sports Academy for kids ages 3-14, where she taught several sports over the course of a year.
In the last year, Morton served as a Seasonal Sports Coordinator Intern for the Somers Recreation & Leisure Services in Somers, Connecticut, where she resides, coordinating all athletic events at Summer Day Camp, as well as being the Assistant/Goalie Coach for Choate Rosemary Hall's Varsity Girls' Lacrosse Team during the 2024 season.
