Jonathan 'Denny' Martin was named the first Post University Esports Coordinator in fall 2020 and will be starting his fourth year in the role this upcoming year. He came to Post after working for the Barnstable County Sheriff's Department on Cape Cod in Massachusetts as a 911 Dispatcher and earned his Bachelor's degree in Photography from UMass Dartmouth in 2012. He has experience competing at a high level in many games including League of Legends, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and Smash Bros Ultimate.
Jonathan has also self-published a book which is available on Amazon: Smash Bros Ultimate: A Competitive Guide to Help you Improve and Win. In 2019, he formed a Classic World of Warcraft guild that now has over 80 active members.
As the Esports Coordinator he will be responsible for recruiting and coaching students to compete at a varsity level in the games currently supported by the ECC: Overwatch, Valorant, League of Legends and Rocket League as well as any additional games added by the ECC in the future.
