Ariana Gonzalez was named the Assistant Cheerleading Coach in Janaury 2026. 

Gonzalez comes to Post University with an extensive background in collegiate and professional cheerleading and has worked as a cheer instructor in over a dozen states. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in 2021, where she double majored in Sociology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and later earned her Master of Social Work degree in 2023.

Ariana cheered all four years at the University of Connecticut, gaining experience in high-level Division I collegiate athletics while representing the Basketball Capital of the World. As a senior, she served on the team’s leadership squad as the Academic Mentor, supporting teammates in balancing academic success with athletic performance.

Gonzalez worked as a National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Instructor for five years, coaching and mentoring athletes throughout the Northeast. She completed annual intensive training in stunting, safety, and team leadership and was recognized with the NCA Top Veteran Award during the 2023 camp season. In 2022, she joined the Boston Celtics Green Team after a selective audition process, performing as a member of an elite stunt-based NBA performance squad while completing graduate school.

In addition to her role with Post University, Gonzalez works full-time at the Connecticut State Capitol as a legislative aide and constituent engagement coordinator for a State Senator and is the founder and owner of Advance Athletics LLC. Through her mobile cheer business, she provides personalized, goal-driven instruction focused on building strong foundations, refining technique, enhancing performance, and fostering team unity by delivering expert coaching directly to schools and programs.
