Ariana Gonzalez was named the Assistant Cheerleading Coach in Janaury 2026. 

Gonzalez comes to Post with an extensive background in cheerleading from her time with the University of Connecticut, in which she was part of the school's cheer team from 2017-21 while earning her undergraduate degree in sociology before going on to get her graduate degree with a Master of Social Work focusing on Policy Practice in 2022. Gonzalez was also a member of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority Inc., where she was the Director of Administration for a year. 

During her time in that role, she rose through the ranks at Leadership, Education, and Athletics in Partnership, Inc. in New Haven, Connecticut, going from a Finance Assistant to a Senior Counselor and then Assistant Site Coordinator, all in the span of less than two years. From there, she moved on to work at Naugatuck Valley Community College for a year as an Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention Program Facilitator. 

While spending a year as a Policy Intern for She Leads Justice (SLJ) in Hartford, she served as part of the Boston Celtics Entertainment Team as a Cheerleader for the National Basketball Association (NBA) squad for a season. Throughout her time in these various roles, Gonzalez was also a National Cheer Instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) for five year in which she developed personalized programs, worked with coaches to tailor team schedules, and provided instructions to youth athletes to enhance their skills. 

In addition to her role with Post, Gonzalez has served as a Legislative Aide for Senator Patricia Billie Miller since September 2023 as part of the Connecticut State Senate Deomcrats and most recently, started up Advance Athletics LLC, which she is the Founder and Owner of. Gonzalez's business provides on-site instructions, clinics, and camps for youth and high school athletes across Connecticut, with specialization in stunting, technique, and performance training.
