Academic Services

Post University offers a number of academic services to assist all of the student body. These services are all available FREE of charge to all students; however, appointments must be made to acquire tutoring and writing center services.
 
Add/Drop Policy
Fall Semester
Students who wish to add or drop a course are permitted to do so without institution penalty by Wednesday, Sept. 12. If a student chooses to drop or withdraw from a course after this date, he/she will receive a “W” on their academic report at the end of the semester. This action must take place by Friday, Nov. 3.
 
Spring Semester
Students who wish to add or drop a course are permitted to do so without institution penalty by Wednesday, Jan. 30. If a student chooses to drop or withdraw from a course after this date, he she will receive a “W” on their academic report at the end of the semester. This action must take place by Friday, March 22.
 
NOTE: ANY STUDENT WHO CHOOSES TO ADD/DROP A COURSE MUST NOTIFY THEIR FACULTY ADVISOR AND HEAD COACH IMMEDIATELY!
 
* If at any point in time during the academic semester, a student-athlete drops below 12 credit hours, they are academically ineligible for all practices and competitions. *
 
Tutoring
Students can receive additional support and proper tutoring in the Leever Learning Center located in North Hall, Room 112. Students are required to schedule an appointment in order to receive tutoring. A tutor can be requested online at http://www.post.edu/maincampus/learningCenter.shtml. Contact will be made by the Learning Center within 24 hours.

Writing Center
The Writing Center assists and develops students’ writing skills. It is located in North Hall, Room 116. Appointments are required to use the writing center, and can be made by phone, or email. Contact information is listed below:

Cooperative Education
Every student should inquire about co-op opportunities. Co-ops allow qualified students to enrich classroom theory with practical, potentially paid experience in their chosen field. Co-op staff assists students in securing professional part-time employment in the academic year or full-time work in the summer.
