Post University Athletic Training

Post University is dedicated to the health and safety of all of its student-athletes. There are currently five licensed and certified athletic trainers on staff. BOC Certified Athletic Trainers are healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of athletes. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations and disabilities. Athletic training is recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA) as a healthcare profession.

Our purpose is to provide a service to you in the event of an athletic-related injury, which will result in you returning back to your team and full participation as soon as possible. The athletic training staff at Post University looks to enhance the quality of health care to student-athletes through immediate care and complete rehab.

The athletic training office and room are located on the first floor of the Drubner Center. It is complete with four taping stations, heat, ice and modalities, as well as a variety of rehabilitation tools to assist in the healthcare and well-being of Post University student-athletes.

A certified athletic trainer is present at most practices and each home intercollegiate athletic contest. Athletic trainers are licensed by the State of Connecticut and are certified by the Board of Certification, Inc.
