Recruit Report: Looking to Rebuild Program, Dillon Bell Adds Trio of Runners to Men's Cross Country

Recruit Report takes a look at all the incoming student-athletes for each program ahead of their 2025-26 athletic season and highlights all incoming student-athletes who filled out the recruitment form available to them during the summer of their first season at Post University.

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Entering his second full season as the Head Coach of the Post University Men's and Women's Cross Country teams, Dillon Bell is looking to rebuild the programs from the ground up after having just one runner last year in senior Drew Paskanik, who graduated this past spring. Making a stride towards the rebuild, Bell's squad will feature three new runners for the 2025 season, all on the Men's side, as he inches closer to bringing the Eagles into a spot where they once again have a team score at the CACC Championship and chase their first conference title.

Alex Cole
Just down the road in Watertown, Connecticut, Alex Cole put together a solid high school career at the town's high school, having been named CIAC Class M All-State in 2022, helping lead Watertown to the Naugatuck Valley League Championship. That same year as a senior, Cole was named the Most Outstanding Male Performer at the championship, Most Outstanding Senior for the conference, and Fall Sport Athlete of the Year, all en route to closing out a career that saw him finish with seven All-Naugatuck Valley League honors. Cole spent the last two years at nearby Southern Connecticut State University on both the Cross Country and Track & Field teams while studying Criminal Justice.

Anthony Guallpa
Anthony Guallpa comes to Post University as another local Connecticut resident, having attended Henry Abbott Technical High School in Danbury, Connecticut. Guallpa participated in cross country and track and field throughout his four years of high school, becoming one of the school's top runners in a variety of events. All set during his senior year, Guallpa's 5:32.36 in the 1,600 Meter Run for Indoor Track is the third-best in school history, while in the 600 Meter Run he ranked ninth all-time with a 1:50.29 showing and in the 3,200 Meter Run ranks sixth all-time with a 12:49.04 showing. In Cross Country, Guallpa has the school's 24th-fastest 5,000-meter run time, having posted a 21:06.1 in the CTC Cross Country Championship. Overall, Guallpa's personal bests come in at 19:57 for the 5,000-meter run, 5:18 for the 1,600-meter run, and 12:20 for the 3,200-meter run.

Marcus Wilson
Coming to Post this past spring, Marcus Wilson has a subtle history in the sport, as this will be his first appearance on a collegiate Cross Country team. In the spring, Wilson ran for the Eagles at the James Barber/Jack Maloney Outdoor Invitational, in which he placed 27th in the 800-meter run with a 2:33.71 and in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:05.00, placing 43rd. Wilson has run numerous road races around the state of Connecticut in addition to his first appearance in the springtime.
