PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – Senior guard
Naj White scored a team-high 14 points on 3-for-11 shooting in what would be the last game of her collegiate career as the North Division three seed Post University Women's Basketball saw their season come to an end on Tuesday night in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Quarterfinals to South Division two seed Holy Family University on the road, 71-45, to finish the season with a 10-19 record overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
While on paper Holy Family was slated to be the better team based upon record, the two teams came into the game seeming to be trending in different directions. For the Eagles, they came into the game riding a five-game win streak while shooting over 40% in four of those five wins while the Tigers entered on a two-game losing streak having fell to Jefferson University in the season finale, a battle for the South Division's top seed, and Goldey-Beacom College before that.
But the hot shooting of Post was extinguished on Tuesday as the Eagles struggled from everywhere except the free-throw line in what would be a 26-point loss, 71-45. After one quarter, Post only trailed by seven, 18-11, despite Holy Family taking 21 shots from the field to just 11 shots for the Eagles who were 7-for-8 from the charity stripe to keep pace. By halftime, the lead for the Tigers swelled to 18 points as after a 2-for-11 start to the game, Post went only 3-for-15 in the second quarter to find themselves with only 19 points at the break with nine of those coming from free throws.
The only lead of the game for the Eagles came in the first quarter when freshman guard
Jasmine Day-Cox capped a 4-0 run that gave them a 5-4 lead before Holy Family took over the rest of the way. After going up by double digits in the second, the Tigers never allowed their lead to shrink below 10 points while ballooning it to as many as 29 points with 5:04 left in the game.
Junior guard Taylor Hinkle led Holy Family with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting and recorded a double-double after picking up 12 rebounds in the win. Hinkle was one of three scorers in double figures for the Tigers alongside junior forward Claire Dougherty with 13 points and junior guard Kaelah Carter who had 10 points. On the boards, Post was outrebounded by a 55-34 margin but forced Holy Family to commit 25 turnovers to only 12 of their own in the loss.
The 14 points for White made her the only Eagle in double figures for scoring as the team shot 14-for-67 from the field for a season-low 20.9% shooting day in which they were just 1-for-20 (5%) from three-point land. Post combined for just 15 makes from the floor while hitting 16-of-22 (72.7%) of their free throws, finishing the game with more makes from the charity stripe than the field. Day-Cox led the way on the boards for the Eagles with a team-high seven rebounds as well as had four steals, giving her the fourth straight game with five-plus rebounds and second straight game with at least four steals.
