WATERBURY, Conn. -- It was another record-breaking semester for Post University Men's Ice Hockey as they outdid their program record of landing 23 players on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll with nearly every single player being named to the Fall 2024 edition with 30 players in total. As for Football, it was their first time being featured on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll since joining the conference, landing 49 players on the list as announced by the conference office on Thursday morning.
Across both sports, a total of 12 players were awarded the Academic Excellence marking for finishing the semester with perfect 4.00 GPAs in seniors
Drew Blodgett and
Tommy Buis, juniors
Joe Santoro and
Benjamin Cunneen, sophomore
Connor McCowell, and freshmen
Eoin Reager,
Scotty Swain,
Aidan Canady,
Jonathan Meijer, and
Sam Edmands were in the 10 players the Men's Ice Hockey side of things. For Football, the duo of graduate student
Anthony Gambino and sophomore
Jahiem Chambers landed in the Academic Excellence category.
39 total athletes between the two sports earned Academic Distinction for finishing with a 3.50-3.99 GPA while Academic Honors featured 28 athletes, including 25 from the Football team, for finishing with a 3.00-3.49 GPA during the semester.
As a team, the Men's Ice Hockey program finished with a 3.77 GPA as a team, which was among the top team grade-point averages in Post Athletics for the Fall 2024 semester.
