MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – After their match on Wednesday against Dominican (N.Y.) was suspended due to rain during the Singles and Thursday's non-conference matchup with Bentley University was postponed due to rain, Post University Women's Tennis returned to the Edgewood Bath and Tennis Courts on Saturday for a conference match against Goldey-Beacom College and were swept 7-0 by the Lightning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lightning would sweep through the Doubles with a pair of quick wins in the #1 and #2 Doubles before a hard-fought victory in the #3 Doubles. Senior Elizabeth Mova and freshman Sofia Lopez took the #1 Doubles match in a 6-0 sweep of senior

Melanie Leussink were downed, 6-2, by juniors Zehra Canbaz and Nahomi Quinonez in the #2 Doubles.

Annelein Van Urk nearly took down senior Lucia Corte and junior Jess Sanzo in the #3 Doubles, but fell 7-6 after dropping the tiebreaker point, 7-3.
In the Singles, the Lightning would sweep through starting with 6-4 and 6-1 set wins by Sanzo over Van Urk in the #3 Singles followed by 6-1 and 6-2 victories in the #5 Singles by Corte against
Melanie Leussink. Lopez would secure the team win for Goldey-Beacom with her pair of 6-0 sweeps over Langenfeld in the #4 Singles shortly after that.
In the final three matches of the day, Quinonez was victorious, 7-6 on a 7-1 tiebreak in set one followed by a 6-1 win in set two over Merlin in the #2 Singles. Canbaz in the #1 Singles would also go to a tiebreaker in set one, winning 7-6 after taking it 7-5 followed by a 6-2 win in set two while senior Macy Hendin-Walker won 6-0 and 6-1 over junior
Gioia Turco in the #6 Singles to close out the 7-0 win for Goldey-Beacom.
