PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – It was the closest Post University Men's Tennis had come to beating Jefferson University since the 2018-19 season, but they would fall just short. Dropping the Doubles point to the Rams and then three of the six Singles, the Eagles would fall, 4-3, dropping to 2-4 in conference play this spring while Jefferson improved to 6-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Gustavo Kerber were unable to win their second straight match in the #1 Doubles slot, falling against senior Hannibal Borg and junior Enrique Soto Ballester, 6-4. The #3 Doubles would secure the team point for Jefferson as junior Mario Antonio and sophomore Johary Rabetrano were victorious against senior

Anton Andersson and sophomore
Josh Cronje would be the only Post duo who got a doubles win in a thriller against sophomores Jules Thibault and Antonio Mateos Melenchon, 7-6, on an 8-6 tiebreaker.
In the Singles matches, Andersson and Antonio would match up in the #1 Singles slot with Antonio winning in set one, 7-6 with a 7-4 tiebreaker win followed by a 6-0 sweep in set two. Taking the #2 Singles for Post was Kerber over Thibault with a two-set victory, 6-4 and 7-6 with a 7-4 tiebreaker point. Cronje was the next victor for the Eagles in the #5 Singles against senior Ahmed Aboseada, 6-3 and 6-1, while the #6 Singles was the last win for the visitors, 7-5 and 7-6 with a 7-2 tiebreaker, which was sophomore
Tobias Strauss over sophomore Ayan Mehra.
The other two Singles wins for the Rams came in the #3 Singles with Ballester sweeping Despontin, 6-2 and 6-0, while the #4 Singles was won by Melenchon, 6-1 and 6-2, over Langenfeld to complete the 4-3 win.
