Middlebury, CT – The Post University women's tennis team lost a close 4-3 non-conference match to the University of New Haven on Thursday.
The Eagles (11-7) took the doubles point as
Megan Lambardt and
Micaela Rosignuolo won, 6-4 over Valentinna Ferrarini and Karim Carreras in doubles no. 1.
Annunciata De-Souza and
Natalia Gonzalez Ramos won a tight 7-6 (7-5) game against Alexa Orlando and Kacie Banks in doubles no. 3.
De-Souza also won her singles match in no. 2, 6-4, 6-3.
Oceane Mallevre won singles no. 3 in three sets, 3-6, 7-5, 10-6 over Alyssa Rodriguez. De-Souza has won her last three singles matches and her last three doubles matches.
In a close singles no. 5 match
Nina Langenfeld fell 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 to Alexa Orlando. All other matches ended in two sets. The Chargers are now 11-7 on the season.
The Eagles will take on Southern New Hampshire University on April 8 at 2 p.m.
