Women's Basketball Falls In CACC Semifinals To USciences

Caldwell, N.J. - The Post University women's basketball team fell short in its quest for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) title, losing in the semifinals, 62-47 to the University of the Sciences on Saturday evening on the campus of Caldwell University.

The Eagles are now 19-8 on the season.

Tai Pagan finished with a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 15 rebounds on the day. It was her fifth double-double of the season. Sha'Raya Haines scored 13 while Kyla Ramseur had 11.

The Devils scored the first six points of the game before the Eagles closed the gap to 7-6 on baskets by Ramseur, Pagan and Haines. USciences would finish on an 8-2 run to take a 15-8 lead into the second quarter.

USciences went in to the half leading 27-18 as Haines scored five of the Eagles ten points in the second quarter.

The Devils extended their lead to double digits throughout most of the second half. Pagan scored eight of her points in the fourth quarter on 3-for-4 shooting. Ramseur scored nine of her 11 points in the second half.

Post grabbed 16 offensive rebounds, turning them into 14 second chance points.

Jess Huber led the Devils (22-4) with 20 points and eight rebounds. Isla Brennan scored 17.
