Middlebury, Conn. - The Post University men's tennis team defeated Dominican, 5-2 to open up its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play on Friday afternoon at Edgewood Bath and Tennis.
Post took the doubles point to kick off as
Cooper Smith and
Anton Anderson won doubles No. 1, 6-3 while
Gustavo Kerber and
Nino Krneta won doubles No. 2, 6-4.
The Eagles (4-6, 1-0 CACC) won four of the six singles matches. After dropping the first set, Kerber won singles no. 2, 2-6, 7-5, 6-2. Smith and Anderson also won in three sets, with both winning the final set, 6-3 and
Jose Nunez swept in singles no. 6, 6-1, 6-1.
Up next, the Eagles take on the University of the Sciences at home on March 27 at 1 p.m.
