Middlebury, Conn. - The Post University women's tennis team shutout AIC, 7-0 on Friday afternoon at Edgewood Bath and Tennis.
With the win, the Eagles improve their record to 3-2 on the season.
The Eagles swept doubles as
Andrea Sandoval and
Alexandra Dereban won doubles no. 1 over Meri Jimeno-Vocente and Brianna Svetsov, 6-1. In doubles no. 2,
Oceane Mallevre and
Julia D'Occhio topped Voctoria Azcona and Varda Anand, 6-4
Annunciata De-Souza made quick work of Jimeno-Vicente, 6-0, 6-0 in no. 1 singles, Sandoval beat Azcona, 6-2, 7-5 in no. 2 singles.
In singles no. 3, Mallevre won her third straight singles match, 6-0, 6-2. Singles No. 4 saw Dereban win 6-1, 6-0 and D'Occhio won her no. 5 singles match, 7-6, 5-3.
The Eagles host Wilmington at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Edgewood Bath and Tennis in CACC play.
