The Post University women's tennis team shutout D'Youville on Sunday, 7-0 in an out-of-conference match and went 1-1 over the weekend.
The win puts the Eagles at 2-1 on the season.
Post swept all three doubles matches, with
Andrea Sandoval and
Alexandra Dereban winning doubles no. 1, 6-4,
Oceane Mallevre and
Julia D'Occhio winning 6-1 in no. 2 and
Annuciata De-Souza and
Sabrina Martino winning 6-0 in doubles no. 3.
The Eagles swept five of the six singles matches. De-Souza won her No. 1 singles match in three sets, 4-6, 6-0, 10-1. Sandoval won singles no. 2, 6-2, 6-3. Mallevre and Dereban both shut out Taylor Nash and Katelyn Hoover in singles no. 3 and 4, respectively.
D'Occhio won no. 5, 6-1, 6-1 and Martino won singles no. 6, 6-2, 6-3.
On Saturday, the Eagles dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match to Chestnut Hill, 7-0.
De-Souza and Martino won doubles no. 3, but the Eagles lost the other two to give the Griffins the point.
Many of the singles matches were highly contested as four of the matches went to three sets, but Chestnut Hill edged out the Eagles in all of them.
