Senior Kendall Fitzgerald was honored before the men's basketball game on Tuesday for being awarded the 2018-2019 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) East Region Scholar Athlete of the Year.

During the 2018-2019 campaign, Fitzgerald won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Cross Country Championship for the third consecutive year, and also won the East Region Cross Country title. Fitzgerald was the first person to win three straight CACC titles since 2002. She also captained the women's ice hockey team.

In the classroom, Fitzgerald held down a 3.98 GPA while majoring in Biology.
