Springfield, Mass. – The Post University women's tennis team won all four of its single matches in two sets – giving up just one game - and swept doubles in a 5-2 win over American International College on Tuesday afternoon.

The win puts the Eagles at 2-0 on the season.

Andrea Sandoval and Areej Fareh took care of business in doubles no. 1, defeating Meritxell Jimeno-Vicente and Mikaela Johnson of AIC, 6-2. For the second straight match, the team of Macha Mourier and Alexandra Dereban won its doubles no. 2 match, 6-2.

In singles, Mourier topped Sophie Roberage, 6-0, 6-1, Dereban won 6-0, 6-0 in singles no. 4 and Sadie Storm easily took singles no. 5, 6-0, 6-0.

"It was great to have the bottom end of the lineup step up and get a win for the team," coach Rob Howard said.

Up next, the Eagles will play in the ITA East Regional from September 13-16 in Flushing, N.Y.
