Post University had 74 of its student athletes honored as recipients for the Division 2 Directors Association Academic Achievement Awards.
In total, there were 11,660 student-athletes from 185 schools being recognized for the 2018-2019 season. In order for student-athletes to be eligible for the honor, they must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, attend at least two years of college and a member of an intercollegiate team during their last academic year.
"I am very excited to see the highest number of student-athletes get recognized for their academic achievements this past year," said D2 ADA President Chris Ratcliff, director of athletics at Rogers State University. " The number of institutions recognizing their student-athletes' academic achievements continues to rise.Â
"This is a well-deserved academic honor for the student athletes who are being recognized," Post Athletics Director Ronnie Palmer said. "It truly shows that student is very important in student-athlete here at Post."
Post had 45 recipients last year.
