Haworth, N.J. – Senior Ben McKenna shot a final round 73 and vaulted into the top ten as the Post University men's golf team finished in third place at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships with a 37-over par 613 (310-303) played at White Beeches Golf and Country Club.
Wilmington won the team title with a 24-over par 600 (308-292), followed by Goldey-Beacom with a 30-over par 606.
After shooting an 80 in round one, McKenna was tied for the second lowest round of the day with his 73. He finished in seventh place with a 9-over par 153. Sophomore Felix Hinderthuer was a shot behind McKenna and tied for eighth. Classmate Bill Koch shot an 11-over par 155 (80-75).
Senior Anthony Guerrera finished with an 11-over par 155 and tied for 11th and Sophomore Riley Card shot a 13-over par 157 (79-78).
Enrique Valverde of Wilmington finished with a 3-over par 147 (75-72) to take home the individual title.
McKenna was tied for the second lowest score on par fives at 2-under par. Card and Koch tied for the second most pars on the day with 23.
Up next, the Eagles will host the Post Eagles Invitational on October 14-15 at Watertown Golf Club.
