Middlebury, Conn. – The Post University women's tennis team defeated Dominican, 6-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game at the Edgewood Bath and Tennis Club.
The Eagles took care of business in doubles, winning No. 1 and 2. Seniors Andrea Sandoval and Areej Fareh won, 6-1 in doubles No. 1, while freshman Alexandra Dereban and junior Macha Mourier won, 6-3 in their match in doubles No. 2.
Sandoval won her singles No. 1 match, 6-2, 5-7, 10-4 over Paula Guitierrez. Fareh won her No. 2 match, 6-2, 6-3. Dereban, playing at No. 3, won 7-6, 6-3 while Mourier easily won her No. 4 singles match, 6-0, 6-2.
Freshman Sadie Storm won her No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-0.
"The team played very well. They stayed focused," coach Rob Howard said.
Post will take on Goldey-Beacom at home on October 5 in a CACC match.
