Eagles Shoot Second Best Round Of Day, Finish In Eighth At Le Moyne

Syracuse, N.Y. -  The Post University men's golf team shot the second best round of the day and finished eighth overall at the Le Moyne Fall Invitational with a +20-over par 596 on Saturday at the Lake Shore Yacht and Country Club.

Leading the way for the Eagles was senior Ben McKenna who finished tied for seventh after shooting a 3-under par 69. He finished at 2-under par for the tournament.

Sophomore Felix Hinderthuer shot a 1-over par 73 and finished at 4-over par and tied for 15th. Classmates Bill Koch and Riley Card finished at 8-over par for the tournament after shooting second round scores of 74 and 75, respectively. Card played as an individual.

Senior Anthony Guerrera shot and sophomore Sam Gaboury each shot a 74 in round two. Guerrera finished the tournament 10-over par, while Gaboury finished 12-over par.

McKenna finished with seven birdies in the tournament, which tied him for fifth. Hinderthuer's 27 pars tied him for third in that department.

Assumption and Laval tied for first in the tournament, both shooting a 10-over par 586. AJ Sanzaro won the individual portion of the tournament, with two rounds of 70 for a 4-under par 140.

Up next the Eagles will participate in the McDonough Cup on October 28 and 29.
