Philadelphia, PA- The Post University women's tennis team defeated Holy Family, 7-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match. This puts the Eagles at 6-6 overall and 4-3 in the CACC.
Post swept in the doubles match, winning No.1, 2 & 3. Seniors Andrea Sandoval and Areehi Fareh took No. 1 6-1, Junior Macha Mourier and freshman Alexandra Dereban took No. 2 6-1, Juniors Sabrina Martino and Rebecca Eelman took No. 3 6-1.
Senior Sandoval only lost one game in the no. 1 singles beating Alleyn Llaban, 6-1, 6-0. Fareh won no.2 singles defeating Nathalie Rivera, 6-2. Mourier won no. 3 singles beating Latifah Hinawy, 6-0, 6-1. Dereban won her singles no. 4 match over Meghan Moyer, 6-0, 6-1. Martino defeated Keisha Bowman, 6-1, 6-1. Eelman beats Alexis Formagiu, 6-2, 6-1.
The Post University Eagles have now won 5 straight matches against the Holy Family Tigers.
The Eagles take on the University of New Haven at home Sunday October 20 at 1p.m.
