WATERBURY, Conn. - Post University women's basketball hosted the #11 ranked University of the Sciences on Saturday afternoon at the Drubner Center. The Eagles got off to a hot start in the first quarter, shooting 10-18 (55.6%) from the field, including 3-6 from deep. Sha'Raya Haines (7), Jessica DeGree (6) and Melanie Polanco (5) led the Eagles in their 26-point first quarter effort. Senior point guard Gabriela Middleton dished out three assists. Post did not commit a turnover in the opening quarter 

The second quarter was not as favorable for the Eagles. The Devils collected five offensive rebounds and shot 7-15 (46.7%) from the field in route to a 19-8 advantage in the quarter. Hannah Benac provided a bright spot for the Eagles by connecting on both of her three point attempts. 

The Devils came out of halftime and shot an efficient 61.5% (8-13) from the field in the third quarter. Colleen Walsh and Irisa Ye combined for 14 points on 6-7 shooting in the quarter. Ye, The CACC's leading scorer (16.6 ppg) ended the game with 16 points and was perfect from the field (7-7). Melanie Polanco scored nine of her 22 points in the third quarter for the Eagles. 

Gabriela Middleton led the Eagles in rebounds (6), assists (8) and steals (2). 

Hannah Benac scored a season-high 13 points against the Devils. 

The Eagles will remain home for a Tuesday night (5:30 p.m.) matchup against Felician University (4-10, 4-3)
